The Netflix media company intends to make a series based on a series of fantasy novels “The Witcher” by Polish writer Andrzej Sapkowski.
Sapkovsky himself will participate in the work on the show as a consultant.

It is reported that at least one episode in the upcoming season will be filmed by Tomas Baginsky, the author of the introductory videos of all parts of the Witcher role-playing games, as well as the trailer for the future Cyberpunk 2077 role-playing game. He will also become one of the producers.
The creators of the series promised that the serial adaptation will not lose the moral and intellectual subtext inherent in the novels about the wanderings of the witcher Geralt.
According to executive producers Tomasz Baginski and Jarek Sawko, the future show “will be a story about today and today’s problems, a story about a monster and a hero living in the heart of every person.”
Information about the release date and the cast of the series on “The Witcher” has not yet been disclosed.
The Witcher series of novels has 8 books. Based on their motives, the Polish studio CD Projekt RED has released a role-playing trilogy. The Witcher game series turned out to be successful: only the third part of the game in a year and a half brought the creators 1 billion Polish zloty ($ 250 million).
