The revenue of the Pokémon GO mobile game reached $1.2 billion a year after its release. The game itself has been downloaded 752 million times during this time.

Such data is provided by the Boston analytical company Apptopia.

The total revenue of Pokémon GO for 2016 was $950 million dollars.

The game developer studio – Niantic — continues to support the project. On June 19, the company introduced a big update with a new feature of playing together in multiplayer, a modified system of gims (places where Pokemon can fight each other), and other innovations.

According to Apptopia, in June of this year Pokémon GO had about 60 million active players, and 20% of them logged into the app at least once a day.

The peak of Pokémon GO’s popularity came in August last year — it was played by 100 million people around the world.

The researchers noticed that Pokémon GO is popular both among young gamers under the age of 18 (32.5% of the gaming audience) and among the generation of “millennials” (19-34 years) — they make up 38% of pocket monster catchers.
