The authors of the game series The Room told how much they spent and how much they earned on their games.

For a year and a half, from September 19, 2012 to March 7, 2014, users downloaded the paid versions of The Room more than 9.7 million times.  5.4 million copies of games were on iOS.

Downloads of the free version of the game – The Room Pocket, which was created only out of fear that iPhone 4 users, seeing how poorly the game works, will leave a negative review, amounted to more than 4.8 million. Its sales reached 580 thousand copies.

The first part was developed by 4 people for 8 months. They had to spend 160 thousand pounds on it.

The second part, which is still lagging behind in downloads from the first part, was made by 9 people for 9 months. It took them 430 thousand pounds and 1,392 bottles of beer.

Details of the figures can be found in the infographic below.
