By the end of 2020, Nexters’ total earnings will reach $400 million, and the company’s value has already approached the billion dollar mark,” Forbes Russia writes.
Today, on February 21, an article dedicated to Nexters was published on the pages of the publication. It reveals the current position of the company in the market. According to the material:
- It was the Buchman brothers who convinced the founders of Nexters Andrey Fadeev and Boris Herzovsky focus on smartphone games (before that, Nexters actively developed the social direction);
- in 2018 (before the Buchman deal) 80% of Nexters’ sales were in Russia (the year before last, the company earned $48 million);
- by the end of 2019, 95% of Nexters’ revenue came from foreign mobile markets (USA, Japan, Korea and Europe), revenue itself increased 15 times (most of it falls on the Chronicles of Chaos);
- In January 2020, Nexters earned more than $30 million;
- as part of the transition period, which lasted the whole of 2019, the Buchman brothers took an active part in the life of the company. According to Herzovsky, they worked with both the founders and top managers of Nexters;
- the article does not specify how much the company spends on marketing, it only says that tens of millions of dollars are spent on this purpose;
- the company employs 300 developers in several countries. As for the founders, Fadeev lives in Limassol, and Herzovsky lives in Barcelona.
