The California investment fund Makers Fund has invested in a number of companies in the gaming industry. Among them are developer studios, publishers, esports services and other firms.

Makers Fund has invested in the following companies:

  • British game studio Bossa Studios;
  • Canadian game studio Typhon Studios;
  • FaceIT esports match selection platform;
  • developer of the Genvid streaming engine;
  • a platform for marketing analytics of the SuperData gaming market;
  • independent developer and publisher of tinyBuild.

The founder of the Makers Fund, Jay Chi, in an interview with Venture Beat, noted that when choosing investment goals, the fund pays special attention to platforms and startups that create something new in the field of interactive entertainment.

“We estimate what technologies and needs users may have in the next 1.5 − 2.5 years, and then invest in companies that are working on creating new services and services,” Chi said.

Makers Fund was founded last year. To date, the organization has invested in a total of 11 companies.
