2,519 mobile game developers in 2016 were able to earn $1 million or more on their products, according to the financial company Pollen Velocity Capital.
This is 55% of the 4.6 thousand mobile app developers whose revenues exceeded one million dollars last year. In total, this segment accounted for 81% of the revenues of all mobile developers in 2016.
In their survey last year, Pollen VC counted 1,887 developers with annual revenue of $1 million or more.
The number of developers whose revenues for 2016 amounted to more than $ 100,000 was 30 thousand.
The calculation method takes into account only revenue from sales of applications and completed IAPs, omitting revenue from advertising within applications and e-commerce.
