Project xCloud streaming service will be combined with Xbox Game Pass. According to the head of Xbox, Phil Spencer, this will happen before the end of the year.
According to TweakTown, Microsoft will connect three gaming services in one ecosystem at once:
- Game Pass;
- Xbox LIVE Gold (since Game Pass games often require a subscription to this service);
- Project xCloud, which allows you to run games in the cloud on any device.
Project xCloud will immediately become available to 10 million Game Pass subscribers. They will be able to use a huge library of products, including new Xbox exclusives. At the same time, the competitive cloud-based Google Stadia still has a very small catalog of games.
Microsoft also expects that after the subscription renewal, players will start spending even more money in the Xbox ecosystem.
And we add that Project xCloud is able not only to play games “in the cloud”, but also to launch purchased digital copies.
