Google has added transparency. The developer console in Google Play now segments organic traffic. Developers can see how much traffic their listing (application page) receives from the search, and how much comes from the research store.

Previously, all organic traffic was hidden behind a single graph, according to which it was impossible to get segmentation. After the innovation, the situation has changed.

From now on, when entering Acquisition reports, the publisher sees which part of organic users switched to the listing thanks to search results, and how many downloaded applications by studying collections, categories, tops, features or simply following recommendations.

The column “Organic” is now divided into two categories
In addition, the innovation allows you to see which search queries turned out to be the most effective.

In other words, now you can find out how well the selected keywords work.

When you click on the graph with search traffic, data with the effectiveness of keywords is displayed
The new data also includes information about when users visiting the Play Store see previews of listings, not just the listings themselves.

Previews are displayed in the search when there is a direct request (for example, the name of a particular game).

It is assumed that thanks to the new functionality, developers will learn how their applications are found by users, and will also be able to better optimize ASO.

The innovations have already entered into force.
