Game streamers will become the main channel for promoting Electronic Arts titles in the company’s new advertising policy.

According to representatives of the game publishing house, the services of streamers allow you to better track the return on investment in advertising. In addition, YouTube bloggers cost the company less than the airtime of popular American TV channels.

“We are moving to a much more effective marketing structure, moving away from promotion through traditional media and using well—known video bloggers and social services for these purposes,” explained Electronic Arts CFO Blake Jorgensen.

EA intends to keep the advertising budget at the same level, but spend it more evenly throughout the year, rather than spending it in several visits on the eve of the holidays.

Nevertheless, the main marketing expenses of the company are planned for the second and third quarters of the year, as new parts of EA’s major game franchises are coming out at this time: Madden NFL 18, FIFA 18 and Star Wars: Battlefront II.
