How well marketers and developers understand ASO, the Russian analytical platform ASOdesk offered to check.
The company has launched a test for knowledge of the rules for optimizing application pages in mobile stores. An experienced marketer will pass it without problems, but a specialist far from ASO will stumble constantly.
The test offers answers to questions such as “What indexes the App Store search algorithm?”, “Which variables most strongly affect the position of a search query?” or “What is taken into account when ranking by search queries in Google Play?”
However, there are quite simple questions in the test, a la, “does Apple allow the word “Free” to be used in app names” or “What is Trending Searches in the App Store?”.
