The factors common to the App Store and Google Play are: downloads (both the total number of installations and spikes in jumps), the frequency of launches, the number of user reviews and their ratings, keywords and country.
Only the App Store in the case of paid applications still takes into account revenue and the availability of recent updates. As for Google Play, its output is affected by application retention (the number of app deletions from the device), informational social influence and the presence of backlinks.
