The German studio Wooga yesterday announced the release of its very popular Facebook game Bubble Island on the iOS platform.

The project has been in development for a long time. The first version was ready a year ago, however, according to CEO Jens Begemann, it did not suit the team. For this reason, the developers decided to focus on the mobile version of Diamond Dash first. And so, having gained “mobile experience” on “diamonds” (the number of downloads for the year exceeded 30 million), the company returned to “bubbles”.

Note that the version of Bubble Island for smartphones and the version for tablets are different. For example, the iPad has a “landscape” display of the game screen, and the iPhone has a “portrait” display. In addition, there are differences in the design of the levels. However, both versions have the Facebook Connect mechanism implemented, so cross-platform gameplay is supported.

By the way, Diamond Dash for Android and Monster World for iOS are currently undergoing the latest “polishing”.
