In his Twitter blog, Todd Brix, director of the Windows Phone Apps Team, shared data that with the release of WP8, the number of mobile app downloads increased by more than 100%.
At the same time, the stated increase in the number of downloads provided a qualitative increase in the earnings of developers: by the end of November, Todd assures, the income of developers has also doubled.
The only thing is whether Todd compares these data with the figures of the last month, quarter or year – it is unclear. If we take into account the fact that smartphones based on Windows Phone 8 are available in 180 countries around the world, then most likely we are talking about comparing with October data and achieving such indicators since the release of the “eight”.
