PlayHaven, a company engaged in monetization and promotion of applications, has announced the creation of an office in Europe. It was headed by Ville Heijari, former vice President of Marketing at Rovio.
PlayHaven, in which investors invested about $8 million only last November, decided that it was time to go beyond the American market. The first goal of expansion was Europe. For this purpose, the company opened an office in Helsinki, the head of which was one of the most prominent figures who recently promoted the Angry Birds brand – Villa Hedjari.
“I joined Rovio when there were only 15 people working there, so I understand how important cross-promotion and marketing are for developers,” Hedjari told PocketGamer.
PlayHaven’s chief operating officer Charles Yim, however, said that perhaps in the future the office will move to central Europe: “somewhere between Ireland and Israel.”
The company may also appear in Asia and Latin America by the end of this year. At the moment, its platform covers 4,000 mobile games, 460 million unique users, its MAU is 115 million users.
