The Ukrainian edition of Forbes reported that according to the statistics of the two largest Ukrainian mobile operators “Kyivstar” and “MTS Ukraine” in recent months, the largest growth in the number of devices was recorded on the Android platform.
In October, the number of smartphones in the networks of these operators increased from 5.48 to 5.96 million. The total growth of Android smartphones amounted to 240%, which exceeds the growth rates of the Symbian platform, which is still the most widespread in Ukraine.
If we talk about the growth in the number of Android devices, in the networks of the two largest operators, their number increased by 240 thousand in a month, this is even more than the growth of the most popular mobile platform so far, Symbian. iOS devices also show stable growth, but the figures are much more modest – 4-8% or about 10-15 thousand per month.
