Last night it became known about the friendly takeover of the advertising company MoPub by the social platform Twitter.

Jim Payne, executive director of MoPub, and Kevin Weil, vice president of Twitter, wrote about this almost simultaneously on their blogs.

According to Jim, the deal will not affect the work with publishers in any way. MoPub will only get stronger as Twitter is going to invest in the advertising company’s business. In addition, MoPub will have new opportunities to promote projects.

As for Twitter, its management is going to integrate an auction of advertisements (real-time bidding) into the network with the help of a newly acquired team.
