Players in various farms have long figured out how not to pay for content that takes a long time to build and accumulate (buildings, number of moves, game resources, etc.). We decided to check how relevant this topic is on iOS today: have they started fighting it, and if so, how.

The monetization of mobile f2p games is largely based on the impatience of players. The user spends all his moves in a particular game, and then, if he wants to continue the game session, either has to wait until they accumulate again, or has to pay.

It has long been known that there is another, let’s say, workaround – the permutation of time. In other words, if you can’t wait, and you feel sorry for the money, you can cheat the system by simply twisting a couple of hours.

One of the most optimal ways to deal with this cheat is to use an NTP server that periodically synchronizes the internal clock of the device with the time on the server. Although, as the developers with Stackoverflow note, you should always assume that users are cheating (or want to cheat). Therefore, it is more reliable to make the game go completely through the server.

However, as it turned out empirically, in games such as Tiny Tower, The Tribez and Diamond Dash, you can still safely wind up time. In this regard, we have a question for our readers: do you fight with crooks who twist time, and if so, how effectively?
