At least four new devices under the Kindle Fire 2 brand will be on the shelves of the USA this year. Their specifications are already known. It is noteworthy that one of the future tablets will support 4G.
Richard Shim, an analyst at NPD DisplaySearch, claims that Amazon is preparing for the release of a whole series of Kindle Fire 2 devices. A total of four new devices are planned:
– 7-inch Kindle Fire 2 with a resolution of 1024 by 600 pixels and without a camera (released in August)- 7-inch Kindle Fire 2 with a resolution of 1280 by 800 pixels with a camera (released in August)
– 7-inch Kindle Fire 2 with a resolution of 1280 by 800 pixels with a camera and 4G (released in September)
– 8.9-inch Kindle Fire 2 with a resolution of 1920 by 1200 pixels (released at the end of 2012)
The release of a 10-inch device, according to Shim, is unlikely.
At least not this year. But the situation may change – the suppliers from whom the analyst learned about Amazon’s plans depend on orders from above. They will be told to produce 10-inch tablets in a month, and they will take up them. But at the moment they only have the above gadgets in their plans.
The density of dots on the screens of the new Kindle Fire (all models except the most budget) will be the same as that of the recently announced Nexus 7 – 216 dots per inch. This is slightly less than the latest generation of iPad. It has, recall, a density of 264 dots per inch. In the original Kindle Fire, it was 170 dots per inch.
Who is engaged in the production of processors is not yet entirely clear. Either it will be Texas Instruments or Nvidia.
Amazon, according to the portal Cnet.com , while silent.
Yes, this is the second rumor from Amazon in a day and the third in a day. It seems that we are, at least, being prepared for a loud announcement.
