This is the conclusion that W3i analysts came to after studying the data of hundreds of partner companies. They also found out that the United Arab Emirates is among the most profitable mobile markets.

The wide popularity of the f2p model has long been no secret to anyone. Users like to download free games to then pay in them for “buns”. Moreover, as W3i found out, users are more willing to pay hard-earned money for expensive IAPs.

47% of all revenue, according to the study, brings microtransactions worth from $9.99 to $19.99. As for transfers of $0.99 – $1.99, they account for only 6% of total income.

W3i found that Japan and the United Arab Emirates are among the most profitable markets. 55% of the UAE’s income just comes from transfers of $19.99. In Japan, such transfers account for 43% of the profit.

The amount of $9.99 is key for Canada and China, responsible for 33% and 29% of revenues, respectively. In the UK, it also plays an important role – it accounts for 27% of profits, another 8% for transfers of $ 49.99.

The W3i sample covered a number of companies with a total MAU of 66 million Android and iOS users.
