The Israeli company Nextpeer has announced the official release of the Android version of its service, which makes it easy to implement multiplayer mode into games.
Recall that the main feature of Nextpeer is that in projects integrated into the platform, players can compete with their Facebook friends in real time. This, according to the developers, seriously increases user retention.
Nextpeer appeared on iOS two years ago, during which time it has acquired a base of 2000 projects, but there are no hits among them. The most popular project supporting the platform remains Chasing Yello Friends, published by Tap Paradise Cove.
Anyway, with the advent of the Android version of Nextpeer, new frontiers are opening up for developers using the platform. Now not only owners of Apple smartphones, but also owners of Google phones will be able to play with each other (respectively, if you have iOS and your friend has Android, you will also be able to find out who is cooler).
The total number of unique Nextpeer users exceeds 15 million, and MAU – 10 million.
The SDK of the service is free.
