Microsoft Corporation is negotiating to open specialized points of sale of its own devices and software in Europe during 2013, The Financial Times reports.

Despite the fact that Microsoft already has a network of stores in Canada, the USA and South America, they do not sell exclusively devices and software developed by the company (for example, they feature smartphones from Nokia and HTC).

In the new stores, the corporation plans to change its strategy, focusing on Apple’s experience, and to include strictly devices and software manufactured under the Microsoft brand.

According to rumors, the first stores will be opened in the UK. Microsoft has not made any official statements yet.
