A CNET journalist posted a photo online that confirms the announcement of iOS 6 at the WWDC 2012 event.

The picture shows a huge banner on which the new version of the OS is announced as “the most advanced mobile platform”. A CNET employee claims to have taken this photo while the banner was lying on the ground. 

Many details regarding the release of iOS 6 are still unknown. According to Apple Insider, the new OS version will still support both the iPhone 3GS and the first iPad. 

Some journalists suggest that iOS 6 will allow Apple devices to better synchronize with the Facebook social network. For example, users will be able to report their gaming achievements on iOS on Facebook.
