Last night, Apple opened access to download iOS 6. Users of iPhone 3GS, iPhone 4, iPhone 4S, iPad 2 tablets and the new iPad can update the operating system to the new version of iOS.

The update contains about 200 new features and capabilities, including improved functionality of Siri technology, deep Facebook integration, updated Safari browser, etc.

The biggest changes have occurred in the app store: this is a new user-friendly interface. Moreover, the usual grid of applications is simplified to a single line that scrolls left and right. The App Store has changed the mode of viewing information about applications, full-screen screenshots have appeared, and application search results are displayed as an ordered tile.

But there is one flaw. Under the application icon, its name, genre and price are indicated. The rating of the application can be found only by clicking on the program itself. The application page seems to be empty. At the top of the screen, the name, rating, genre, the “Share” button and the mandatory “Buy/Install” are indicated. There are three tabs in the middle of the card: information about the application, user reviews and a list of similar games or programs. All the detailed information about the application (version, size, compatibility, developer, update date) is hidden at the very bottom of the card and is, to put it mildly, unreadable. But there is a lot of empty space on the sides of the card – apparently for freedom of thought.

Well, in small things. Another innovation is that without leaving the application card, you can continue to review the store. And in the purchases tab, the information content of the screen has increased dramatically. Well, now you can follow the download and installation process directly from the app purchase screen, and after it loads, you can immediately go to it.

You can update the operating system “over the air” (over-the-air technology, OTA) or by downloading from the iTunes Store online store, having previously downloaded the iTunes 10.7 update.
