Now developers can upload different graphic components to the same application, differentiating them by country. These can be icons, screenshots or videos.
As noted in Google, such an innovation is not just convenient, it gives new opportunities to promote applications in target markets. For example, as suggested by Ellie Power, Google Play product manager, you can create a unique promotional schedule for a particular country, timed to coincide with national holidays.
