The mobile social gaming platform Heyzap has announced that it has added an option to its payment system that allows accepting payments and making payments in the virtual currency Bitcoins.

Heyzap co-founder Jude Gomila, commenting on this innovation, said that developers in some countries do not have the opportunity to use the PayPal system and, thinking about them, his team introduced this “digital” currency, which has recently become increasingly popular.

He noted that some developers prefer to receive their remuneration not in dollars, but in “bitcoins”.

By the way, the bitcoin exchange rate is growing very rapidly. In June 2011, it cost $30, and as of April 1, 2013, over $100 was already given for 1 bitcoin. Besides Heyzap, quite a few companies already accept payments or make payments in bitcoins. Among them, for example, is the notorious WordPress.com .
