Since the launch of Draw Something on iOS and Android a month ago, the game has gained 25 million downloads, and is also currently the most popular game on Facebook.
Draw Something, a mechanics game very similar to the usual “Crocodile”, where instead of gestures, users draw words to each other, was launched in February on two major mobile platforms at once – iOS and Android.
In less than two months, the game reached the top of the Facebook top in terms of the number of active mobile users per day, defeating such serious competitors as Words with Friends and CityVille with a DAU of 12.2 million users.
According to the New York Times, the smartphone version of the app has been downloaded more than 25 million times on both platforms. It also became known that users have now drawn about 1.5 billion drawings.
Dan Porter, executive director of OMGPOP studio, responsible for the appearance of Draw Something, said that the success of the mobile versions of the game helped the development of the application on Facebook.
We published an interview with Dan a couple of days ago. You can read it here.
