The Japanese company Capcom reported on the results of the fiscal year ended March 31. Its mobile division contributed ¥11 billion ($117 million) to the total piggy bank, which is 74% higher than the previous year.
At the same time, the number of downloads of the company exceeded 100 million. Smurf’s Village and Minna to Monhan Card demonstrated particularly good results among the games on the Mobage network.
This year, the company expects to earn about 12.5 billion rubles ($132 million) on mobile games.
In total, during the 2012 fiscal year, the company earned 94 billion rubles (approximately $ 1 billion), thus, revenue growth compared to the previous fiscal year was 15%. However, the profit decreased by 56% to ¥3 billion ($32 million).
Out of curiosity: Capcom announced that it is opening a fourth office in Thailand, and is also going to invest more in its sister Beeline (not to be confused with Vimpelcom), responsible for 56 million downloads of the company.
