Having released the Android version of the popular Football Manager game this month, its developers from Sports Interactive said they were faced with the highest level of piracy in the history of the franchise.

Miles Jacobson, director of Sports Interactive, also reported that the piracy rate on the Google platform for their game is 9 to 1, since there is currently no copy protection on Android.

Jacobson noted in his interview with Eurogamer that if the game does not reach certain financial indicators over the next few months, then Sports Interactive will no longer port its games to Android.

“It’s a pity that there are so many people here who love our work, spend hours having fun at it, but believe that we don’t have to pay for this entertainment,” Jacobson stressed.
