Google Play tightens the party’s policy by adding new items to the “Rules of the program for Application Developers”.
The innovation of Google Play so far appears only in the English version of the “Rules“. It sounds something like this: “A program downloaded from Google Play cannot change, replace or update its APK binary code using any method other than the Google Play update mechanism.” The rule was introduced on Google Play on April 25.
The reason for such harsh measures was the vicious practice of Facebook. The social network updated its application for Android without using the mechanisms of the app store, so users could download the update of the social network without logging into the store.
