Flappy Bird is the leader of the US free chart, Joe Danger Infinity knocked out a place in the paid top with a discount, King has three games in the box office top ten – this and much more in the weekly review of the American App Store games market.
We remind you that Distimo publishes total data on downloads and earnings of applications for a WEEK with a lag, respectively, of one week.
Free top
Three newcomers in the top 10.
Firstly, the endless runner Flappy Bird is very simple in terms of mechanics. The player’s task is to keep the bird on the fly by tapping on the screen (something like Jetpack Joyride, in which you can’t land and there is nothing but points). The uniqueness of the project lies in its complexity.
The second newcomer is Fail Hard. This is a game about a loser motorcyclist. The source of inspiration for the creators of the project, for sure, was the Swedish game of ten years ago FltOut, in which in one of the modes the player had to throw the driver of his car as far as possible as a result of a collision.
The third project is the American football manager Ted Ginn, who jumped 32 positions up: Kick Return from DoubleTap Software.
Paid top
Everything is ordinary here. Unless Joe Danger Infinity returned to the top ten due to the price drop from three bucks to one.
The leading three have hardly changed in a week, apart from the castling between Minecraft and Cut the Rope 2.
Survivalcraft also returned to the top and for a very short time Battle Supremacy got into the top, whose indicators have so far managed to sink very steeply (102 place in the gaming chart on January 28).
Cash top
The main event of the box office top is the appearance of the third game from King in it (we are talking about Farm Heroes Saga). For reference, Candy Crush Saga takes the first place, Pet Rescue Saga – the fifth.
It is also possible to note another return to the top of Modern War from Funzio, the most successful purchase of GREE in the USA.
