The publisher tinyBuild acquired a development team from the Russian studio Dynamic Pixels, which was engaged in the creation of a series of Hello Neighbor games. The publisher also announced plans to invest $15 million in the development of the brand.

The amount of the transaction itself is not reported.

However, our colleagues from VentureBeta mention that it is included in the investments announced above. As for the development team, it will officially be based in the Netherlands and will receive a new name — Eerie Guest Studios.

tinyBuild is the publisher of all games in the Hello Neighbor universe. In March, she reported that the total downloads of all games under this brand amounted to 30 million. By now, this figure has reached the threshold of 40 million.

How much the franchise earned in total was not previously reported. But it is known that only books based on the game have collected about $ 16 million. Another $5 million came from merchandising. So there is nothing surprising in tinyBuild’s desire to strengthen its relationship with the authors of the title.

tinyBuild is currently working on a Hello Neighbor board game. A graphic novel and an animated series dedicated to the hero of the game are also in the works. His pilot series has garnered 12 million views on YouTube.

By the way, tinyBuild raised exactly $15 million in February 2019. Then the company said that it would spend this money to increase its staff, create new franchises and invest in gaming projects.
