Tencent has acquired another major asset in the West. The giant got a controlling share of Bohemia Interactive, according to The Information.

According to the media, the purchase price was $ 260 million.
For this amount, Tencent received from 70% to 80% of the Czech studio.

The game company Bohemia Interactive is known for DayZ and the Arma series. Since 2018, she has been a partner of Tencent. He released her newest title Ylands on his WeGame platform.
We should add that in April the studio disbanded its branch in Slovakia. The reasons were not given.
The new owner of Bohemia has been actively investing abroad in recent years. His portfolio includes 100% of Riot Games, shares in Epic Games, Activision and other major publishers and developers.
Western analyst Daniel Ahmad believes that such deals turn Tencent into a more significant competitor to NetEase in the PC market.
