A new deal in the Russian video game market. MY.GAMES company has announced the takeover of the Russian mobile developer Deus Craft. The maximum amount may approach $50 million.As part of the consolidation, MY.GAMES will receive a controlling stake in Deus Craft (51.6%).
First, the studio will pay an advance of $ 14.1 million, and in April 2021 it may receive another $ 35 million. This amount is assumed if the developers achieve a monthly income of $ 15 million.
The main project of Deus Craft is the time manager of Grand Hotel Mania. Its release took place in July of this year on iOS and Android, and it achieved the greatest success in the United States — last month this market accounted for more than 50% of all revenue.
Ilya Eremeev, senior executive producer at MY.GAMES Venture Capital, calls this deal potentially the largest in the history of MY.GAMES. At the same time, the company promises not to interfere in the creative process of Deus Craft and to provide it with all the resources for development.
Over the past three years, MGVC has closed 30 deals, having processed more than 1,000 applications. Only in the last month, the company invested in an American studio with Russian roots Hypemasters and acquired a stake in Reaction Games.
