A new deal in the Russian video game market. MY.GAMES Venture Capital has announced an investment in the Russian studio Reaction Games to help the team work on the mobile game Days After.As a result of the investment, the MY.GAMES investment division acquired a minority stake in the studio with an option for control.
The amount of the transaction is not called.
Reaction Games was founded in 2020 as the mobile direction of Alternativa Games, which is known for the project “Tanks Online” (according to the company’s estimates, the game now has 150 million registered users from 50 countries).
Important: the “Tanks Online” themselves (including their mobile version) are not included in the transaction in any way. Even in case of redemption of control over Reaction Games, all rights to the game remain with Alternativa Games.
Reaction Games is currently working on the Days After game in the zombie apocalypse setting. The project is at the softlonch stage, and new investments should help the studio with a worldwide launch. Maxim Osin, CEO of Reaction Games, hopes that MY.GAMES’ “marketing resources and expertise” will allow the team to fully concentrate on development.
Over the past three years, MGVC has closed 30 deals, having processed more than 1,000 applications. Among the invested studios are SWAG MASHA, Panzerdog, BIT.GAMES and others. This month, the company also invested in an American studio with Russian roots Hypemasters.
