French publisher Focus Home Interactive has announced a new takeover. The Parisian Leikir Studio, which is currently working on Metal Slug Tactics, joined him. The amount and terms of the transaction were not disclosed.

Thanks to this purchase, Focus Home Interactive gained access to the studio’s “significant technical know-how”. She also has three new art directions – now the company will publish games with 2D graphics, stylized 3D graphics and pixel art.

Note that Leikir Studio has been indirectly cooperating with Focus Home Interactive for some time. Dotemu, a subsidiary of Focus Home Interactive, bought by the publisher last August for €53.5 million, is publishing its tactical RPG Metal Slug Tactics. The exact release date of the game is not called, but it is expected that it will be released in 2022.

Leikir Studio is the fifth company to join Focus Home Interactive. Previously, the publisher acquired Dotemu, Deck13 Interactive, Douze-Dixièmes and Streum On Studio.

Now Leikir Studio has 20 employees. On their account, the development of games such as Isbarah, Wondershot! and Rogue Lords.
