According to representatives of Electronic Arts, the purchase of Playdemic is part of a mobile growth strategy that aims to launch games that are ready to offer a new experience to the publisher’s audience. The joint plans include the creation of clash games, which Playdemic specializes in, within the framework of other publisher brands.

WarnerMedia explains the sale of the asset by the desire to focus on creating projects based on the Warner Bros. franchises. A game about golf against the background of gloomy projects about Batman really stood out in the company’s portfolio before.
