The forced transition to “remote” turned out to be difficult for a number of gaming companies. But not for Zynga. Its chief operating officer Matt Bromberg is confident that the staff “could work from home forever, if necessary.”Empires & Puzzles
Speaking about the consequences of transferring work to the house, Bromberg said: “We have not yet seen any negative consequences, and we do not think that the removal is generally capable of having a bad effect on us.”
According to him, Zynga is working normally and is not out of schedule for content creation. This is largely because the company creates exclusively digital content, which means that it does not experience difficulties with the release of physical copies, said Bromberg.
Earlier, a Zynga report mentioned that since the beginning of the COVID-19 pandemic, there has been a surge in activity in its games. The quarterly DAU indicator grew by 1 million people in annual terms — up to 21 million. MAU amounted to 68 million, it rose by 2 million in quarterly terms, but sank by the same 2 million in annual terms.
It should be noted that the publisher’s revenue for three months increased by 52% year-on-year, amounting to a record for the 1st quarter of $ 404 million. The main drivers of growth are Empires & Puzzles, Merge Magic!, Merge Dragons!, as well as Game of Thrones slots.
