Zynga and MGM will create a TV game based on Words With Friends

The program will present a new format of the show, combining a game on mobile devices and a competition of participants in a TV studio.

The head of MGM Television’s reality show division, Barry Poznick, called Words With Friends an ideal mobile game for transferring to the TV show format.

According to him, big Hollywood stars play Words With Friends every day, and the new show will allow them to compete with each other in front of a TV audience.

World With Friends has been profitable for Zynga for 8 years of existence. Since 2009, World With Friends has been downloaded over 200 million times and is considered one of the best free iOS games of all time.

Currently, Zynga has started work on a sequel to World With Friends.
