The Moscow-based studio ZeptoLab is celebrating the first birthday of the mobile PvP game about seals C.A.T.S.: Crash Arena Turbo. As part of the event, the company announced that the game had overcome the mark of 100 million installations.

ZeptoLab explains the success of the project with regular monthly updates and “competent planning of marketing activities.” According to the studio itself, of these 100 million downloads, a quarter is paid. But she also notes that all the traffic purchased pays off and stimulates the growth of organic downloads.

This is the second ZeptoLab project that is built on UGC,” Maxim Petrov, the company’s chief product officer, said in an official press release.

The worldwide release of C.A.T.S.: Crash Arena Turbo Stars took place on April 19, 2017. In the game, the user builds cars from spare parts, on which his cat fights with other players.

According to the data of the analytical service DataMagic, the game is today the main source of income for ZeptoLab. Of the $2.2 million the company earned in March, $1.3 million came from C.A.T.S.
