Mobile games jointly developed by Nintendo and DeNA will be shareware, – said the CEO of the latter. This statement contradicts the words of the president of Nintendo.

Первые мобильные игры Nintendo все-таки будут условно-бесплатными

Yesterday, the head of DeNA made a statement contradicting the words of the head of Nintendo.

All games currently in production are shareware,” DeNA CEO Isao Moriyasu said yesterday as part of the company’s briefing on the financial results of the third quarter.

But at the end of October, in the framework of a strategic briefing for investors, Nintendo president Tatsumi Kimishima noted that of the company’s first line of mobile games, only Miitomo (which, in fact, is rather a manager with advanced functionality) will be a shareware application. The remaining four projects will be distributed on a paid basis (pay-to-download).

Recall that the developer of the first IP projects from Nintendo is, according to Nintendo general manager Shigeru Miyamoto, the company itself, in which DeNA will be engaged in their operation.
