On February 14, the White Nights conference ended. Its winter session was held in Prague for the second year in a row. A quarter of the audience was represented by guests from the USA, Great Britain and Germany.
The business conference, whose target audience is video game developers, publishers and marketers, continues to grow. The event increases the number of participants from year to year and from event to event.
Guests
White Nights Prague 2018 became for the organizer the largest foreign event in history.
The conference was attended by more than 1000 industry representatives. This is 20% more than a year earlier.
The geography of the event has also become wider. Representatives of the event speak about at least 45 countries, including such exotic for the gaming industry as Iran, Saudi Arabia, Luxembourg and Montenegro.
More importantly for a conference with a Russian background, most of the guests were not from the territory of the former USSR. Many participants came from Israel, Greece, Spain. Almost a quarter of the audience was represented by guests from the USA, Great Britain and Germany. A comparable share with the Russian-speaking participants were Czechs.
According to Yulia Lebedeva, the chief coordinator of White Nights, this indicates a real transition of the event from a group of successful, but local events to large international ones.
Speakers
The high level of the event is confirmed by its speakers. In Prague, among the speakers were both leading representatives of the mobile gaming industry – Supercell (Clash Royale, Clash of Clans), Sybo (Subway Surfers), King (Candy Crush Saga), and some of the brightest companies in the “big” gaming industry: Warhorse Studios (Kingdom Come: Deliverance), Obsidian (Pillars of Eternity) and Guerrilla Games (Horizon).
Cyprus
The success of the conference series last year allowed the organizers to announce, in addition to the existing three annual events, the fourth – White Nights CEO Summit. The event will take place every spring in Cyprus. For the first time, the summit will be held on April 26-27.
“The good performance of White Nights Prague 2018 only confirmed the correctness of our decision to switch to a season–by-season format,” Lebedeva concluded.
