Wargaming has announced that it will help its Ukrainian employees. The company intends to arrange for employees and their families to move to other countries. She also said that she had allocated 30 million hryvnias ($1 million) for humanitarian support.
This is reported by the portal Blue’s News with reference to the official press release.
“The safety of our employees is a top priority for Wargaming. Currently, we have directed all available funds to help and support 550+ colleagues. We provide them with alternative housing, pay their salaries ahead of schedule and allocate additional funds for relocation. We also help the families of our employees to move to neighboring countries and arrange accommodation there,” Wargaming said in a statement.
Nevertheless, we are not talking about the relocation of the entire Wargaming Kyiv office right now. In response to the request App2Top.ru the representative of the company explained that only willing employees move.
It is not reported to which specific countries the relocation is organized. However, we remind you that Wargaming has offices in Belarus, the USA, Cyprus, Russia, France, Australia, Singapore, South Korea, Taiwan and Japan.
As for the donation, Wargaming transferred $1 million to the Ukrainian Red Cross Foundation. According to the developers, this money will be used to support “hospitals, doctors, internally displaced persons and, as necessary, other vital types of humanitarian assistance.”
Separately, the company added that it will continue to engage in humanitarian assistance, “if the situation requires it.”
Earlier it became known that Wargaming fired Vice President and creative director Sergey Burkatovsky. The reason could be his statements in support of the situation in Ukraine.
