The role-playing action Pagan Online was released in early access on Steam and Wargaming.net . The developer of the game was Mad Head Games.

The publisher assures that the project was made by the studio in just a year. Recall that Mad Head Games had previously been engaged only in casual projects.

The authors of Pagan Online did not repeat other people’s mistakes and launch a raw project immediately into release, as it was with Fallout 76 and Pathfinder: Kingmaker. Instead, Wargaming.net and Mad Head resorted to early access to gradually improve their title, focusing on player feedback.

In a little over a year we have created a decent foundation that will give a clear idea of our intentions. We want to develop this foundation by adding what the players need. And early access is the perfect mechanism for this. We want a lot of people to enjoy Pagan Online right now. And in order to successfully balance between the visions of the future and the reality of today, we need a direct connection with the players.

Jacob Buchler

Pagan Online Product Director

How long the game will stay in early access, according to Buchler, will depend on the players’ ratings. However, Wargaming.net plans a full-fledged release of the game in 2019.

The current version of Pagan Online contains a story campaign of five chapters and eight playable characters with different skins and emotions. The game already features several game modes, daily and weekly events. So far, it does not have a co-op game mode, but it is promised to be added in the near future.

Recall that a new paid MMORPG from the “tank company” and a developer of casual games was announced in November last year. The Pagan Online setting is based on pre-Christian beliefs, cultures and myths. The game contains MOBA and dungeon elements, so the game was perceived as a competitor to Diablo.
