The “Battle Royale” Game for Peace was released in the Chinese App Store and earned $14 million in just three days. The publisher of the novelty is Tencent, which has actually replaced the Chinese version of PUBG Mobile with a new game.
Game for Peace
Recall that Game for Peace is dedicated to the fight against terrorism.
This battle royale managed to get permission for monetization from the Chinese authorities and enter the local market – unlike PUBG Mobile. Last week, Tencent canceled the official release of PUBG in China, because the game never received the long-awaited license.
Instead, the media giant began to promote its Game for Peace in every possible way. And despite the fact that Chinese players were obviously waiting for PUBG Mobile, they did not ignore the new battle royale.
By the way, PUBG Mobile’s three-day earnings on iOS turned out to be six times lower than that of Game for Peace. It amounted to $2.2 million outside of China.
At the same time, Fortnite’s global revenue on iOS amounted to $4 million in the last 72 hours, Sensor Tower writes. That is, Game for Peace has significantly surpassed the popular battle royale from Epic Games in terms of three-day revenue.
