Yesterday, December 28, the recruiting company Values Value published the traditional quarterly review of the labor market in the CIS.

This time — for autumn.

According to a study that covered 4,458 vacancies posted by gaming companies from September to November 2018 on App2Top, HeadHunter, Dou.ua and DTF, three specialties remain the most in demand in the industry — programmers, artists and game designers.

Among developers, those who have experience with Unity were particularly often requested. C++ programmers are in second place in terms of demand.

Among the artists in the fall, the most actively searched for specialists who work with three-dimensional graphics.

What kind of game designers were looking for in winter, Values Value does not specify, however, they say that the demand for them as a whole has increased compared to summer — from 10% to 11.2%.

The number of offers for employees of “non-core areas” has also increased significantly. The share of the category, which includes “from assistant department heads, video production and sound specialists to HR and recruiting specialists”, increased from 3.8% to 13.6%.

The most active employers in the fall were: Wargaming (3.1%), Game Insight (2.6%) and Social Quantum (2.6%). Note that in the summer the first two positions in the top were occupied by Playrix and G5.
