The American branch of Nexon Gaming Corporation has laid off an unnamed number of employees.
The company explained this decision with the task of “optimizing the workflow and focusing as much as possible on the most promising titles.”
Nexon representatives also asked not to associate the dismissals with the publisher’s last major failure — the failed launch of the heroic shooter Lawbreakers from the famous game designer Cliff Bleszinski.
At the end of last year, Nexon CFO Shira Uemura called weak sales of Lawbreakers the main reason for the decline in Nexon America’s financial performance.
