In one of the Indian cities — Ahmedabad — the ban on PUBG Mobile was lifted. The local police will no longer detain people for playing the popular battle royal.
The ban on the “royal battle” was introduced in several cities of Gujarat, which includes Ahmedabad. It was impossible to play the popular battle royale until March 30, while school exams were taking place in India, Pocket Gamer reports. It is not specified whether the ban has been lifted in Rajkot, Surat, Bhwanagar and Gir Somnath.
PUBG Mobile has been criticized by parents of Indian schoolchildren. The game was banned not only because of fears that the children who are passionate about it will not pass the exams. According to local officials, the game pushes young people to illegal acts: theft, violence, etc.
