Every third game for the Nintendo Switch console is developed on the Unity engine, Unity Technologies reported.

The statement was a reaction to reports of problems in the development and porting of games on the Unity engine for Nintendo Switch from independent game studios.

Along with this, Unity promised to continue optimizing the engine for development for the Nintendo platform.

Earlier, Playtonic studio reported problems with optimizing the adventure platformer Yooka-Laylee for Switch, which is why the company cannot set a final release date.

The creators of the role-playing game Battle Chasers: Nightwar from the Airship Syndicate studio also faced similar difficulties.
