Yesterday, September 21, during the UNITE session in Boston, it became known about the launch of the Unity Technologies information resource.
The site is called Made with Unity. It is aimed at the community of those developers who work on Unity.
“Before we started this project, we asked ourselves what we could do for the community, what would be more than a gallery of projects, what would allow us to promote great games that we see every day, and what would subsequently enable the project to go beyond the initial concept. And, of course, we asked ourselves how we could create a platform that would be available to every Unity developer and provide everyone, regardless of team size and budget, with access to our clients from all over the world,” Matt Fini, Unity project manager, wrote in an official appeal.
The answer to all these questions was the site where Unity decided to collect stories about the development of games on Unity. However, the company’s management also hopes that such a resource will attract attention to great games that in another situation would hardly be in the spotlight.
Various interviews, team profiles, a large number of stories, clips, trailers of new games and various articles are expected to appear on the site within a few weeks. So far, the site is a restyling of the project gallery with links to publications about Unity games on other resources.
As we were told in the Unity Russian office, a Russian version of the site is also expected.
