Jean-Christophe Cimetiere, Marketing Director of the American direction of Unity, commented on the news for App2Top that several episodes of République Remastered by Camouflage appeared in the Unity Asset Store.

He said that the collaboration with the studio Camouflage is unique for several reasons at once.
The company is not only sharing whole parts of the game with the developer community for the first time. This is the first time when the whole “underside” of the project creation process has been fully documented (more about this can be found here).
The initiator of the collaboration was the studio Camouflage itself. République Remastered has recently been released on PC and Mac. The appearance of some parts of the project in the asset library contributed to the promotion of the game. Unity, in turn, was able to inform the community about the new functionality of the engine.
“It was a mutually beneficial situation, reinforcing our belief that the dissemination of knowledge about the engine’s work in the developer community works both for the benefit of the developers themselves and for the quality of games,” Simitier said.
Will projects from other developers appear in the Unity asset library? Simitier replied that the company has no concrete plans yet. However, this is quite possible in the future, judging by the “fantastic response” of the community.
Parts of the Republique Remastered called Brigs, Atrium and Terminus appeared in the asset library. Users had the opportunity to get acquainted with the new functionality of Unity 5 – Reflection Probes, Enlighten, new animation and audio. This happened as part of the Unity 5 Learn Project. In addition, the authors of the game shared the history of the creation of the project in the Unity blog.
